With the rise of racism in America, it is more urgent than ever for people to know that racism and prejudice can really end through the study of Aesthetic Realism, the philosophy founded by the great American poet and educator, Eli Siegel. 

"The Heart Knows Better" is based on his understanding that contempt — "the lessening of what is different from oneself as a means of self-increase as one sees it" — is at the heart of, is the cause of prejudice. 

These great, kind words of Eli Siegel impelled this film: "It will be found that black and white man have the same goodnesses, the same temptations, and can be criticized in the same way.  The skin may be different but the aorta is quite the same."
